We are ready to help you enjoy your first test ride aboard a tandem bicycle.
We will give personalized instruction in the 'Proper Method' of starting and stopping, as well as providing many helpful hints to make the initial experiences as enjoyable as possible.
At Gear-To-Go Tandems are performance tandems by Santana, Co-Motion, Ibis, Burley and RANS , all well respected names in the tandem community.
And of course, we continue to be a Santana Tandem Test Ride Center showcasing the best selling tandem line in the world!
We are located in west central NY, just south of The Finger Lakes, on west side of the city of Elmira (just a few minutes off Route 17). Just out of our door there are ideal locations for your initial test rides, with smooth, quiet country roads, and mostly flat terrain along the Chemung River Valley. Or we have ambitious hilly rides to really test out these high performance tandems!
But Gear-To-Go Tandems doesn't just sell bikes. We host Rallies as well! The Southern Tier Tandem Rally in Elmira New York is one of the finest tandem weekends you can find! The weekend has wonderful riding, great companionship, and PLENTY of food!
